No-show and cancellation policy

A nationwide shortage of healthcare providers and an unusual summer surge in illnesses have made it difficult for our patients to receive their check-ups and other appointments in a timely manner. To improve our availability for the patients who need us most, we have updated our no-show and cancellation policy.

Beginning August 1, 2023, we will contact families to confirm their scheduled appointment time four days, two days, and one day beforehand. Out of respect for other patients who are on our wait list for available appointments, please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. Scheduled appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be marked as a no-show.*

Families that repeatedly fail to show up, or show up consistently late for their scheduled appointments, will be discharged from our clinic. Our policy states that three no-shows in a one-year period will result in dismissal.

Thank you for respecting one another’s needs and for the trust you have placed in us to care for your child. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you and hope these policies will make it easier for all of our patients to get the care they require from us.

*Exceptions: If you or your child are sick, please contact us so we can cancel your appointment and it won’t count as a no-show. If you called to schedule a same-day appointment and need to cancel it, we require a two-hour cancellation window or it will be counted as a no-show.
